Another fantastic Success!
Live In NYC 2017 Recap:
The 'Live' Shoot
Hosted by Gus Downing, publisher & editor of The D&D Daily, with over 20 information-packed episodes discussing and debating the hottest topics facing the industry today, these sessions were streamed live, and will be watched by the entire industry over the next twelve months on the Daily and lpnn.net.
With the sessions designed to show you how the Solution Providers are adding value to the industry and what the senior LP executives are focused on right now, we covered a host of topics.
From the CCTV IP conversion, source tagging, RFID, merchandise protection to the increased violence we’re seeing, how terrorism is impacting us domestically, how we should all be focused on increasing diversity, redefining ORC and understanding it’s a global problem, to how technology and the Omni evolution is literally changing all of our jobs, these sessions are a must watch if you want to be in the know and stay up to date.
Attending formal LP Conferences is critical to your long term career development - but in today's digital age you don't have to wait! Watch the episodes that interest you most once they premiere on the Daily and lpnn.net - when it's convenient for you - on whatever device you are using.

NYPD Commissioner James O'Neill addresses the Retail Loss Prevention community
During the reception this years keynote speaker NYPD Commissioner "Jimmy" O'Neill, took time for pictures with attending LP Teams and vendors, then addressed the crowd at 7 p.m. when dinner officially started.
O'Neill was appointed the 43rd police commissioner of the City of New York by Mayor Bill de Blasio in September 2016. He had served previously as chief of department, the NYPD's highest uniformed rank. Widely experienced in both the patrol and the investigative sides of the department, Commissioner O'Neill is a hands-on police practitioner and a dedicated police reformer.
Having the opportunity to hear from the nation's top cop was a valuable experience for everyone in attendance, and the D&D Daily thanks him for taking the time to join us.

The Reception and Dinner Party
Starting at 5:30 the reception and dinner party, with over 120+ LP executives and solutions providers, was a great time for everyone - catching up with old friends and colleagues and making some new friends as well.
Dining at one of NYC’s top steak houses all the guests had a fantastic meal and a great time kicking off the New Year at the ‘D&D Daily’s LP New Years Kick Off.’
We know it’s a crowded venue, but it’s all about having a great meal with great friends that makes the difference, and the Daily is committed to making sure that everyone who joins us gets both.
Thanks for attending and for those of you who couldn’t – like they say - next year will be here before you know it! For 'Live in NYC' 2018 we’ll have even a bigger surprise as we completely blow it up and reinvent the evening for more fun, increased engagement, 'open it up' so to speak, and bring together even more friends and colleagues.
Stay tuned as the new ‘Live in NYC’ Committee will be making announcements throughout the year!
